About sydney
With a father working in radio and a mother with a theatre degree, I was born into the entertainment industry. I did over 200 theatrical and musical productions growing up, leading me to pursue a career in entertainment and intellectual property law. I’m pursuing a joint JD/MBA degree to help tailor my law studies to the entertainment industry. I was a summer associate at an entertainment law firm this year, where I took the lead on transactional entertainment issues including production agreements, copyright issues, employment negotiations, life rights, and licensing. I then interned with a copyright & music publishing clinic, where I registered artists’ discographies by determining ownership splits, authorship agreements, and publishing history. I hope to one day open my own entertainment law firm.
