Inesse, a Moroccan R&B singer with a voice that dances through unique Arabic scales, didn't always know she was destined for the stage. Performing John Rutter's "Requiem" at Carnegie Hall alongside the Boston Symphonic Orchestra, she felt an overwhelming sense of bliss, fire, and desire. The energy of the audience and her fellow performers ignited a spark in her that could no longer be ignored. "That experience built up a pure desire in me to perform and create music," she recalls.

In 2022, a casual recording session covering a Jazmine Sullivan song in a professional studio became the catalyst for her professional pursuit. "Hearing my voice on a quality microphone validated the potential my vocals have for me to be an Artist," Inesse says. Her musical influences are a rich tapestry of soulful and powerful women in the industry. From Alicia Keys' genuine artistry to Jazmine Sullivan's intricate vocal arrangements, Inesse aims to challenge her vocal range and inspire others just as she has been inspired.
The Stage and The Struggles
Inesse's first memorable live performance dates back to her middle school years, where she had a solo in her choir. But it was her high school homecoming game that became a defining moment. "My microphone got cut off early into my performance, so I ended up having to belt the national anthem for everyone to hear. I got a standing ovation and the game ball!" she exclaims. Yet, the journey hasn't been without its challenges. "Putting myself in front of a camera and sharing my music with the world has been scary, but liberating," she admits.

When asked to describe her music, Inesse calls it "an embodiment of dark feminine energy fused with exotic Arabic scales." She aims to evoke clear and relatable emotions, whether it's passionate love, raging jealousy, or utter heartbreak. Her goals for the next year include releasing two projects and gaining significant social media growth. In five years, she envisions herself as a major artist with multiple albums and tours under her belt.
